Services: Shabbat and Chagim

Services on Shabbat and chagim start at 9:30 am and usually end by noon.

The Minyan also holds services in the evening on the first night of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, Purim, and Tisha B’Av. Times are announced on the calendar.

For more information about services, contact info@walnutstreetminyan.org.

On Shabbat, we offer

  • Lively singing and davening
  • Thought-provoking divrei Torah
  • Regular kiddush, plus the occasional “nosh’n’drash” (lunch and learn)

We also join together on chagim:

  • On Rosh Hashanah, we gather for tashlich at Bullough’s Pond.
  • On Sukkot, members who live nearby welcome us into their sukkot for potluck lunches.
  • On Simchat Torah, the singing and dancing are spirited.
  • During Hanukkah, we light candles together on Zoom.
  • On Purim, most adults come in costume, and you can expect a satirical Purim shpiel.
  • On Pesach, we match up people so everyone has a Seder to go to.
  • On erev Shavuot, we hold a Tikkun and study late into the night.

In addition, we offer interactive Zoom services on Shabbat and chagim for those who cannot attend in person.

There are no upcoming events at this time.
